Petzl CORDEX Lightweight Belay And Rappel Gloves

The Petzl CORDEX gloves are lightweight belay and rappel gloves for climbers and rope workers, combining the durability of a work glove with the precise fit and dexterity of a thinner glove. Built for belaying, rappelling and rope handling, they protect your hands from rope friction while keeping the feel you need to manage the rope.

The goat skin leather palm is doubled in the highest wear areas: the fingertips, the palm and between the thumb and index finger. The back is made of abrasion resistant, breathable stretch nylon for comfort and fit, and the low profile neoprene cuff closes with Velcro. A reinforced carabiner hole lets you clip the gloves to your harness when you are not wearing them.

CORDEX Or CORDEX PLUS?

Both gloves are designed for belaying and rappelling. The CORDEX is the lightweight option, prioritizing dexterity and fit for climbing, belaying and general rope work. The Petzl CORDEX PLUS is the midweight version, with more leather protection for intensive rope work, long rappels and rescue.

Choosing Your Size

Measure the circumference of your hand around the palm, just below the knuckles and without the thumb, then compare it with the size chart. Black is available in sizes S to XL and beige in sizes XS to XL. If you are between sizes, check the technical notice or contact our team before ordering.
